1883 Turin, Italy. Priest Dom Bosco suffers from horrific visions showing the rise and fall of Brasilia. During the visions he learns that humanity will be put on trial for three generations before finally being obliterated.
Now, in today's modern Brasilia, a bunch of friends realize that they stand on the threshold of Doomsday when the dead become resurrected to complete the Dom Bosco's prophecy. The situation seems hopeless, but their passion for the horror genre, especially zombie movies, finally comes to use. With the knowledge they picked up from from hours spent watching horror films they prepare themselves for mankind’s last stand. Mankind’s final hour, the last fight for survival, a battle that is taking place on the streets of the capital, Brasil, right before their eyes.
Tiago Belotti’s debut film A Capital dos Mortos is an impressive work of self-financed indie horror filled with pitch-black humor, heavy Brazilian death metal and fighting for survival by the book. Brazil's first zombie movie and also sanctioned by José Mojica Marins who makes a classic Coffin Joe cameo in the film.
